Information of manufacturers : Luigi Filano



Here I report about Luigi Filano. He was from a mandolin and guitar manufacturing family occurred in 1760's in Naples. He worked actively in early 1800's and there exists some instruments made around 1820. His aterier was on Speranzella Street.

You may notice that Luigi Filano's label is similar to Gennaro's. "Strada Speranzella" on the label means "Speranzella Street" in English. The map shows that Speranzella Street is behind Toledo Street. And Giacomo Street is nearby, too. It may be possible that Gennaro Fabricatore and Luigi Filano supported each other, or have some kind of cooperation. What do you think?
